Make a joyful noise unto the Lord!
Again and again the Bible tells us to lift up our voices in praise of God. Our music isn’t a performance; it’s a ministry. The congregation is not an audience, but an active participant in worship through song. The music ministry at Centreville United Methodist Church has several ensembles and would love for you to participate. Talk to the ensemble leader or the church office for more information; we’re always looking for fresh talent!
Reigning Mercy
Our praise band, Reigning Mercy, accompanies our 8:40 am contemporary worship service. Rehearsals are on Wednesday at 6:30 pm.
Chancel Choir
Singing at the 11:00 am traditional service, the Chancel Choir is always looking for new singers. You don’t have to be an expert; come out Thursday nights at 6:00 pm to rehearse.
Joy Ringers
The Joy Ringers are our advanced handbell choir and typically play once a month at the 11:00 am service. Those interested in this ensemble should have experience reading music. Rehearsals are at 7:00 pm on Thursday.
Tinntinnabulators
Tinntinnabulation – (noun) the lingering sound of a ringing bell. This is our beginner handbell choir; no experience necessary! Open to youth and adults; typically meets for a spring session and fall session. See Jodi for details if you’re interested.
